

![]() MSSR’s continued commitment to employee development and education has been rewarded this year. Whilst attending an AutoCAD 2008 course at Rotherham College of Arts and Technology employee John Sanders received the Faculty of Engineering’s Daltron Award for Student of the Year. The award was presented to John by Madam Mayor Cllr Ann Russell at an awards evening held at the college. When asked how he felt John commented: “I was extremely pleased that I had won. I put a tremendous amount of effort into the course, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I think it reflects on MSSR just as much as on me, since they that gave me the time, funding and support to excel in the subject” |
| A group of Six South Yorkshire & Rescue fire fighters are heading to Barcelona on the 16th - 18th October to take part in the World Extrication Challenge. The Don Valley Extrication Team is ranked as 3rd in the World and are hoping to maintain a top 3 ranking. As a company we are proud to have donated funds which have enabled the team to purchase essential equipment for the competition. "On behalf of the company I would like to congratulate the cutting team on their ranking and wish them luck in Barcelona. I feel that it is important that we all acknowledge the fire service and their exceptional efforts, especially surrounding voluntary activities such as this competition" |
MSSR start work on a development of 21 flats not too far away from their head offices in Rotherham - South Yorkshire. This exciting project is part of an extensive regeneration project in the area of Swinton and the surrounding areas. The completion date of the project is yet to be confirmed. Site Manager Neil Pantry who is a Rotherham resident said “we are proud to be a part of the regeneration of Rotherham, we recognise that the residents are central to the achievement" |
